Backpacking Tours in Canada's Yoho National ParkCanadian Rockies' Yoho National Park was established in 1885 and is now part of the Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site. The park is located just an 83km tour from Banff, and consists of 28 summits over 3000m (10,000 ft) high mountains, glaciers, alpine lakes, wildflowers and waterfalls. The national park's name, Yoho, is named for a native Cree word expressing "awe".
This canadian rockies tour starts at the base of the 380m (1250 ft) high Takakkaw Falls. From there, the mountain hike continues up Iceline Trail and passes several glaciers en route to a possible camp.
